The Green Fins initiative
Coral Garden Dive Centre is proud to be Green Fins certified for its environmentally friendly diving and snorkelling efforts. This recognition, which is a remarkable achievement in the Aqaba Red Sea, is part of the Green Fins initiative. Supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Green Fins aims to protect marine ecosystems in South East Asia and the Indian Ocean from the negative impacts of underwater tourism.
Green Fins work closely
By collaborating with scuba diving and snorkelling operators, Green Fins enforces a Code of Conduct that sets strict environmental standards for the sector. As an active member of Green Fins, Coral Garden Dive Centre is committed to promoting responsible tourism and safeguarding the health of marine ecosystems.
Green Fins Certified
During a full day of observation, four Green Fins observers watched our dive centre operation as we went snorkelling and diving. Later in the afternoon, they gave us a presentation on the importance of environmentally friendly dive centre practices and the Green Fins organization. We are proud to become a member of Green Fins, and overall, Coral Garden did very well during the observation.
In addition to becoming a member of Green Fins, we have also created custom-made marine life awareness materials to further promote responsible tourism and protect marine ecosystems.
