This site is named for a large coral boulder which looks yellowish when viewed from the surface and is in line with a large unusual yellow rock located 500 m inland from the dive site. With the deeper depths of this reef at over 30m, deep divers may experience some of the larger sea life we have here such as stingrays and Napoleon Fish.

A great reef for divers of all levels, the Yellowstone reef consists of three large coral gardens as well as a great pinnacle in the shallow area, full of red sponges and nudibranchs.
Yellowstone is a sloping coral reef with sand patches cut through at depth. The reef runs to roughly 40m deep and other than the coral pinnacle which looks yellow from the surface, giving this site its name, there are two other large pinnacles to explore. There is an array of black coral on this reef with a group of lunar tailed grouper, batfish, jacks and tuna to swim with. This site is one of the deeper recreational dives in Aqaba.
